Breakthrough at the CeBit
GASTROFIX's first tradeshow stand results in dozens of nationwide deals agreeing to sell and distribute software. GASTROFIX leads the competition by being first to market with a unique graphical table-plan layout integrated into its software.
At the Intergastra trade show, the company introduced the first wirelessly operating POS-terminal which functioned as an actual ordering unit within the hospitality industry. The unit worked with infrared data transmission, years before the Orderman competitor even considered bringing mobile devices to the market.
In „Gasthaus Zum Stiefel“ The first ever GASTROFIX POS-System was installed in the "Gasthaus Zum Stiefel" in Saarbruecken. This first ever install incorporated 12 PCs and 6 impact printers to form the company's first POS network.
